It was great to move back to Norman after serving all over the Pacific for almost 20 years.

Starting in 10th grade and running thru 12th I started making movies for English projects. Working with Jeff Parris, Gordon Mohon, David Bernstein, Ross Sutterfield and others on many films helped peak my interests in TV & Video were I ended up working as a broadcaster in the Navy. I spent a good portion of my career working for the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service. The TV/Radio stations I served at include the Philippines (twice), Guam and in Japan. I also ran TV stations aboard two Navy ships.

Intesting note about serving in the Philippines my second tour at Clark Air Base: At one point I was in charge of our evening newscast and was also the anchor. One of my co-anchors was a super sharp Air Force Sgt named Rusty Barfield. Turns out he was an NHS grad in 1980. The odds of two guys from the same high school - 4 years a part - in different services - anchoring the same newscast half way around the world...was pretty amazing.

One of the most memorable moments was when I spent all day skipping school looking for gorilla customs with Kyle Hensley (1977) to wear to the big game against Midwest City at Owen Field. We finally found two after driving from costume shop to costume shop all over OKC. When we walked to the gate, they didn't even ask for our tickets. It was a great night, except for the part of losing a heart breaker of a game by a deflected pass.

Does anybody know who was in the gorilla costume during our graduation rehearsal in the theater that threw the cream pie in Mr Riley's face?
Does anybody remember that besides me?
