Pamela Schmitt (Allen)

Pamela "Pam" R. Allen, 58, of Lone Grove formerly of Norman passed away Wednesday August 24, 2016 after a long illness showing exceptional strength and courage. 
She was born July 22, 1958 in Norman to Leroy and Betty Cox Schmitt. 
Pam worked for General Motors for numerous years, and was a Union Representative. After retiring she earned her Master's degree in Psychology from OU. She loved to travel in the country and outside as well as road trips and camping. She could make any one laugh and smile with her great sense of humor and infectious laugh. Above all she loved spending time with her family and friends. 
Survivors include her children: Michael Allen of Missouri, Lisa (Jake) Adams of Lone Grove, OK; grandchildren: Jordan, Justis, Jayden, Ethan, Eilonwy, Emerie; siblings: Kevin Schmitt of Norman, Cynthia Schmitt of Oklahoma City, Aaron (Tiffany) Schmitt of Chandler; mother: Betty Schmitt of Norman; as well as many close family and friends. 
She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents. 
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Friday August 26, 2016 at Primrose Funeral Service, Norman, OK. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 27, 2016 at Primrose Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Norman I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Norman. Pastor Doug Runyan will officiate.

God rest your beautiful soul, sweet Pam. We had great fun at Jefferson Elementary and your precious mother was our Girl Scout leader for many years. You were a such a special blessing to all of us who were priviledged to know and love you. Sweet dreams.

Pam & I were best of friends while in Jr. High & high school. We enjoyed camping, concerts, going to my parents cabin at Ft. Gibson lake, making jewelry(In the yearbook photo,she is wearing feather earrings that I made her. , watching our children play when they were kids.

Pam was my dearest friend, we shared dreams, friendships, family & many events. She will always hold a special place in my heart & fond memories. Peace be with you Pam
