I knew James since 8th gr. He went to Noble schools until Senior year when he came to Norman High. We were very close friends all thru junior and high school. We got into a few jams and thought we were toast but for some reason both our parents trusted us when we were together...My mom fondly nicknamed him "Sneaky Snake"...haha. That's another story...We went to Skateland almost every Fr. and Sat. night unless there was a rodeo or Playday scheduled. He trained his horse and rode in many playdays. His parents owned Thunderbird Stables then and we spent alot of time tending to the horses there. He taught me alot about horses and I taught him about patience w/ the horses. We lost touch after High school. He got married after high school and got into some trouble and then was divorced. He did alot of growing up during that time. He later married again and had children. I ran into his mom, I think it was in 2003 and she told me that he had passed. His children were very young. It was a very sad story and it hurt deeply to hear about it. He will always be in my heart and my thoughts...He is greatly missed...
